Welcome to Class 2

Our Class 2 teachers are Miss Stokes and Miss Mackle

Class 2 is made up of Year 1 and Year 2 children who benefit from our exciting, engaging curriculum. All children are encouraged to reach their full potential through stimulating and cross curricular lessons.

At All Saints we are lucky to have such beautiful grounds so many of our lessons are taught out side. The children are involved in forest schools and a whole range of extra curricular activities

Please read the information below:

Our uniform

Our uniform list is on our website: https://allsaints.npcat.org.uk/school-uniform/

Please ensure that your child’s uniform is clearly labelled – including ties and shoes.

Water Bottles

Children should bring a clearly labelled bottle to school each day. Please remember – no juice, water only please.

Physical Education

During the Spring Term, our PE lessons are on a Monday morning and Friday morning. Due to the current restrictions, we ask that children come to school dressed in their outdoor PE kit on Monday.

Outdoor PE Kit needs to be worn when it is cold.

The children will also be accessing the outdoor area throughout the day so it is important that they bring a warm coat too.

On Wednesday mornings every other week the children will be doing forest schools. It is important that your child brings in the kit as requested to be able to be involved fully.

At this age listening to stories and regular support with reading and phonics are particularly important.

Reading books will be changed on a Monday and Friday.

Each time your child reads a book, either from school or one from home they will be awarded dojo points so please make sure you fill in their reading record at least 3 times a week.

Homework will be set via Google Classroom on Friday and should be uploaded by the following Thursday.

Keep an eye out on our page for updates and important information – as well as celebrations of all the amazing work that Class 2 does.
